Sifnos is a medium-sized island. It has an area of 73, 2 km² and a shoreline of 73 km. To the south of Sifnos, there is the small islet of Kitrian.
The island is connected to Piraeus, Milos, Kimolos, Serifos, Kythnos, Paros and Syros by boat all year round.
Unique traditional villages, organized or secluded beaches, and 227 churches spread around the island are waiting to be discovered.
In Sifnos you can swim in crystal-clear waters. Famous beaches you have to explore are: Kamares, the port of the island, is a sandy beach with trees and beach bars, Platis Gialos is the most cosmopolitan and buzzing beach in the island. Next to it lies Vathi, a sandy beach with shallow waters. The rocks in Chrisopigi, are ideal for diving. You can visit Kastro and follow down the path to “Epta Martyres”, and enjoy a leisurely swim.
