Tinos is mostly known as the island of Panagia Megalochari. It is concerned as a religious island but this is only the first impression!
Tinos is an island full of pictures .As you travel through the island you can see dovecotes, windmills and numerous chapels.

Tinos has many picturesque villages such as Pyrgos, Agapi, Arnados and Volax.
In the country you should definitely visit the old port of the Cross, Panagia Megalochari’s church, the courtyard of the museum of Tinian artists. Visit the Orthodox monasteries of Agia Pelagia and Agia Triada.
Taste the Cycladic delicacies, louza, cheese of Tinian, local meat, giblets with rice, octopus and other seafood dishes, homemade lasagna, dried tomatoes, kopanisti froutalia, xerotigana, sweet tyropites and honey thyme.
