Cooking Lessons Athens - Santorini - Ios 8 Days
Day 1: Athens
Athens, one of the world’s oldest cities, is the capital and largest city of Greece, dominating the Attica region. Arrival at the airport which is named Elefthérios Venizélos, started operating in 2001 and it is about 30 km from Athens. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2: Athens – City tour
The contrast between the monuments of a glorious past and the modern elegant structures is what you will enjoy most during your tour of Athens. Overnight in Athens.
Day 3: Athens- One day cruise
Visit three gorgeous Greek Islands in a one day cruise from Athens for a relaxing day on the sea! Visiting the Saronic Islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina. Overnight in Athens.
Day 4: Santorini
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Santorini. The precious gem of the Aegean is actually a group of islands in the southern part of the Cyclades that consists of Thíra, Thirassiá, Asproníssi, Palea and Nea Kaméni. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 5: Santorini
Santorini is essentially what remains after an enormous volcanic eruption that destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly single island. After breakfast, meeting in the restaurant, welcome with Greek coffee, melitinia, juice, etc. Information on the island’s gastronomy and history. Presentation and tasting of local products. At noon, we visit a tavern where we will be presenting local recipes and handing them out. This will be followed by lunch with the dishes we have prepared. In the afternoon, we will visit Sigala’s winery (in Oia) and then visit Oia village for dinner and the loveliest the sunset in the Mediterranean. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 6: Santorini
Santorini’s seaside treasures are the blue waters, the beaches with white, red or black sand or volcanic pebbles, the spectacular rock formations and the impressive lunar landscapes. Excursion on a boat, picking up the nets, swimming. Preparation of fish recipes on the boat or in a tavern on the coast, and lunch including the fish we have prepared. Afternoon: sunset in the restaurant with a presentation and tasting of cheeses and meats from the Cyclades. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 7: Santorini
After breakfast, visit to the Prehistoric Museum and then to local producers and wineries. In the afternoon, demonstration of contemporary creative Santorini cuisine in the restaurant, followed by dinner (gala) with the dishes we have demonstrated. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 8: Santorini – Ios
After breakfast, transfer to the port for a boat to Ios island. Ios is a hilly island with cliffs down to the sea and golden beaches, situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. Here, we can visit a local cheese creamery, the beekeepers to taste the honey, as well as visit and taste the cheese in the new cooperative cheese creamery (this is where the niotiko cheese is produced). These can be followed by a meal in a tavern and return on the same day. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 9
Transfer to the airport for your connecting flight.
